Lighting optimisation for empties identification
Single bottles
Different types of bottles made from various materials (for example
glass and plastics) and presenting different colours are to be identified
safely.
By varying the lighting conditions (light direction, light colour,
luminance, structure, etc.), the reliability of the identification process
can be enhanced.

Bottle crates
|
The identification of the content of bottle crates turns out to be
difficult because of their different colours and geometrical shapes.
The bottles as well can differ greatly (e.g. in size, colour, material,
with or without bottle top).

For the identification of the crate and its contents, the method of
edge detection is applied. For this, contrasts must be generated in
the image through lighting.
